Reverse shows "Benecke, Scuchay & Co/1 Dec 1871/London" firm chop, "Hong Kong/C/JA 13/72" transit and blue "Yokohama/A/JA 23/72" receiver. Fresh and Very Fine, rare.

1872 (March 20), folded business letter from Berlin to Yokohama, franked by ¼gr, 2gr and 5gr German Eagle issues each tied by boxed "Berlin/Post Exp 16/20 3 72" killers, with reverse showing "Hong Kong/C/AP 29/72" transit and blue "Yokohama/A/MY 6/72" receiver. Uncommon usage from Germany, Very Fine, scarce.
