1872, Cherry Blossom, 1 sen blue, Matsuda and Government printings, specialized plating study, a wonderful advanced specialist's selection of 159 stamps, 121 used and 38 mint, each plated and positioned. Includes both Matsuda and Government printings, plus some better plate examples such as plate 7, positions 14, 22 and 40, plate 9, positions 6, 18, 25, 28 and 30, plus an unused position 19, plate 10 positions 4 and 10, plate 14 position 39 and the rare plate 19 positions 3 and 40. In addition to the obvious plate work, further research can be conducted regarding perforations, cancels, etc. Condition varies on some as to be expected, mostly Fine to Very Fine, a wonderful plate study of this fascinating issue.
