We note an excellent range of better values remaining, such as mint Scott 90-91, a $5 ICP imperf proof, 104-05, 124-30, 131-33, 138 2 nice copies, some Republic overprints, Junks like 248-65, 258 gutter block of 4, great commemoratives like 270-73, 276-79, 280-83, 284-87, 307-10, strong issues like 295-96 297-306, 8c on 40c re-entry (used, Chan 364a), 16 London Print SYS issues, including some Sinkiang Overprints, all with Specimen overprints and more. Begins with semi-postals, including Scott B1-13, B9a choice mint and used examples, B6 block of 4 with "6" for "5" constant variety, B13 pair on lovely 1948 registered cover Chekiang to Shanghai, B11-13 perf and imperf on FDC, lovely airmails with Scott C2, C4-5 and C8-10 NH, plus C1-5 each used on piece tied by special 1921 Tsinan to Peking flight cancels, C11-20. C21-40, C43-47, C48 a vertical pair top stamp surcharge partially missing, C47 surcharge shifted down, C55-60, C63, Sinkiang C15-19, E10 2 strips one with City overprint, E11-13, excellent Military stamps including M6-10, M11-12, Chan M8e dropped character variety, M5 with proof overprint in black and much more.

Nicely presented on album pages, beginning with a lovely French Offices post card depicting Russo-Japanese war navel battle, a lovely hand-painted 1901 German Boxer card used to Germany, German Offices Scott 24-36A, 37-46 and 47-59 in premium condition, some nice used Japanese Offices items, 3 lovely and scarce 1904 anti-Russia picture postcards with splendid designs, a 5c US Bureau print on lovely, illustrated corner card to US with Shanghai Postal Agency c.d.s., etc. Eclectic group to be sure, examine, mostly Very Fine.

Neatly presented on album pages, comprised of approximately 114 items, with the large majority Coiling Dragons, plus also including numerous $1 values of the early commemorative issues. We note many large dollar chops, lots of Hong Kong transit/arrival markings, tombstones, security overprints, several items from the 1912 Shanghai Charity Congress, plus Scott 279(3), 269(3), 283(2), 287(4), 329(6), etc. Wonderful specialist lot, fresh, well worth a through inspection, Fine to Very Fine or better.

An interesting group neatly presented on album pages, including the 1921 Famine Relief issue complete (Chan AP53-60), all mint, but for the $50 value, plus an additional group of 9 multiples from the same issue used on piece, with a wonderful range of cancels. We also note a splendid Gold Yuan remittance form to Ningpo, bearing 50 copies of the $1,000 remittance stamp. Scarce and excellent group, examine, Fine to Very Fine.

Chinese Empire, Magnificent Specialized Temple of Heaven Issue Collection, 1909 (Scott 131-133. Chan 137-39). A superb and fascinating specialized collection, keenly assembled and annotated on 10 album pages. Begins with matched blocks of 8, showing Canton 17 Sept. bilingual c.d.s.'s, then onto 6 pages comprised of a fantastic, highly detailed perforation study, both mint and used, with an incredible range of varieties. Collection also features some cancels, a matched set of upper right corner margin blocks of 9 with Amoy c.d.s.'s and finally a lovely registered cover bearing the entire set used to Potsdam. Lovely study of this popular issue, inspection invited, Very Fine.

Includes scores of better items, but also included within are many varieties, including plate flaws, paper folds, analysis of paper types, some interesting covers to supplement the sections, multiples, often in complete sets, etc. Includes a wealth of premium items like Scott 344-45, 349-63, 375, 376-80, plus perfect/imperf button types and matched upper corner margin singles with sheet numbers, 381-401, good Martyrs, extensive 3c, 7c, 1c and 40c surcharges with varieties, 471, pristine mint and used sheets, 485 used, with lengthy letter from J.R.
