Austrian Offices in China, interesting selection of five items, 1906-13, three picture postcard usages, two bearing Austrian postage with "KuK Kriegsmarine Kaiser Franz Josef" c.d.s.'s, one of the cards additionally bearing a ½s Japanese Chrysanthemum with Port Arthur I.J.P.O., etc.; we also note a 1¢ Chinese CIP postal card with 5h Austrian postage and handpainted design, etc., Fine to Very Fine, examine, lovely and scarce group.

Postal Agency / MAY 1 / Shanghai" c.d.s. Front also bears a Yokohama May 13, 1880 star transit, a violet Boston Jun 8 receiver, with San Francisco May 31 transit cancel on the reverse. Opened at right, a clean, nicely marked cover, Fine to Very Fine.

Reverse shows matching violet "Shanghai, China (U.S. Postal Agency) Mar 24 1916 Registered" handstamp in a perfect strike, along with Chicago Apr 12 1916 registered transits, remarkably fresh and clean, a beauty! Very Fine.
