China, Interesting selection of six Canton-to-London merchants' letters, nice group, all privately carried per Malta, Peking, etc., all with receipt docketing, etc.; one cover was sent "Via Marseilles" and states Overland Mail, etc.; interesting content, with one letter stating the good tea was going to the English market while the lower grade was sent to America (!), etc., Fine to Very Fine, intriguing lot.

China, 1844 (datelined July 30), Folded business letter, sent Canton to London, sent "via Marseilles" via India, with red oval handstamp on front; reverse shows nice "Forwarded by Edmonds & Co. Bombay" oval handstamp in black and red British 5 DEC receiver. Fresh, Very Fine.

China, 1866 (Apr. 6), Folded letter, sent Shanghai to Paris, sent "via Marseilles", showing Shanghai ship cancel 8 AVRIL, via Suez 26 May (blue transit) to Paris, with misdated 26 MAI arrival; front shows blue two-line "Buissonnet & Co./Shanghae (China)" handstamp, exceptionally fresh, Very Fine.

China, Superb, unpicked old-time holding of Coiling Dragon covers, an extensive, diverse and valuable horde of over 80 Coiling Dragon covers, including many premium covers including lunar and small town cancels, lots of red band covers, lovely franking and rate combinations, various routings including I.J.P.O.s, French Post Office examples, "via Siberia", etc.; uprated postal cards, seven similar 5c red band covers with violet Kiaochow Feb 8, 1901, ovals; numerous Peking ovals, a nice 2c on Brompton C.I.M., cover with blue Chefoo Large Dollar chop; tombstones, a German Consulate cover, Boxer era items and much, much more; a wonderful holding of these always popular covers. Condition varies as to be expected, but mostly Fine to Very Fine, a great lot; inspection invited.
