China, Massive stock, a huge, exceptionally well-organized, mostly mint old-time stock of tens of thousands, all arranged by issue, with quantities of up to perhaps 100 or so of each, housed in Scott- and/or Chan-numbered glassines filling three good-sized boxes; China proper begins with the Coiling Dragons and includes extensive Junks, excellent Sun Yat-sen types with surcharges, Martyrs, wartime surcharges, Domestic Postage Paids with 20¢ and 50¢ Interior surcharges, CNCs, Golds, etc.; we also note strong Provinces, with quantities of Scott #29-34, 51-53, 74-89 (5 complete sets), J6-J9 (14 sets including blocks); Hunan Province complete in light quantities; Fukien with blocks of 4; extensive Sinkiang, Shensi complete in pairs and singles; North East with #47 (block of 7); Japanese Occupations and much, much more.
