China (People's Republic), Vast and valuable mint stock of many thousands, 1949-93, a huge, clean holding, all housed in Scott-numbered glassines or envelopes, with nearly all in often-duplicated blocks of 4 or larger; quantities vary between one and 38 of each, with most issues somewhere in the middle; aside from the vast section of early reprint issues in quantities (e.g., Scott #8-11 (16), 31-34 (20), etc.), originals begin with #1-4 (11 sets) and continue with #8-11; great quantities of the ungummed sets in various blocks, including #155-158 (33), 159-163 (38), 163-166 (22), 171-174 (20), 194-197 (32), plus similar quantities for #198-201, 202-205, 214-221, 222-224, 225-228, 245-248, 330-333, 337-340, 341-343, 382-384, 394-397, along with excellent 1959 and on issues such as #445-452 (5) and quantities of #490-493, 618-619, 684-695 (6), 713-715 (15 with imprints), 737-745, 746-747, 760-765 (1 set only!), 791-794 (20), 828-832 (blocks and singles), 1047, 1049-1052 (blocks), 1312-1314 and 1547-54; also quantities of booklets, etc.; a wonderful lot of popular material—one that truly needs to be viewed carefully to be appreciated, o.g., mostly never hinged, mostly Very Fine, inspection invited.
