Collection of Bank Note Issue Plate Markings, 1870-82. 36 stamps and a cover with partial plate numbers or imprints, mostly "captured" in the stamps' margins, but a few with sheet margins including a 1¢ #145 with plate no. 52 (light stains); comprises 1¢ (7), 2¢ (5), 3¢ (7 plus the cover), 6¢ (3), 10¢ (2), 12¢ (1) and 15¢ (2); all but the 1¢ plate no. single are used; Scott is around $1,000, but condition is somewhat mixed. An interesting lot.
