Hong Kong, 1891, Queen Victoria Jubilee, 2¢ carmine, horizontal pair. The short beveled "L" on the right stamp and the left sheet margin show that this pairs position is 1 and 2. Since short "U" is not present in position 1, this has to be from the first printing. There are plate flaw in the printing of the basic stamps, including, on the right stamp (position 2) a huge round nick on the top frame above the "O" of "Hong" plus 3 lines, one affecting the "O" of "Kong", the second affecting the top right corner pattern and the third affecting the second Chinese character on the right. O.g., right stamp never hinged, left stamp with margin hinged, Fine to Very Fine.
