Japanese Occupation of Burma, Collection of the Burma State Crest. 1 cover and 4 large blocks, on 4 album pages. Includes single rate example on cover with Japanese censor used locally 1943 (May 3); 3 mint blocks of 4 (one imperf block) and a large mint block showing partial reconstruction of 4 rows of the full sheet. Stamps are no gum as issued, Fine, Ex. Gerald Davis collection.

Japanese Occupation of Burma, 1944 (Aug), reply portion of censored Japanese Military Star postal stationery card endorsed via airmail to Japan, from soldier with Mori 7996 Unit in Burma with boxed censor marking. Addressed to his wife in Shikamoto - Gun, Kumamoto prefecture arriving 1945 Jan 17, Very Fine.

These military postal stationery cards were a rare privilege and only issued to troops after long intervals or to soldiers who committed acts of great bravery in action. At this time, the Japanese were retreating from the major battle around Imphal and even though this card was endorsed via airmail, the arrival date suggested that it might not have been travelled by airmail

Japanese Occupation of Malaya, Selection of 11 Items. 10 were Japanese Occupation period with various frankings including one from Dutch East Indies. Some FDC, a couple with censor markings, retour/undeliverable items. A First Landing in Penang by British troops Sept, 1945 cover. Also a 1948 FFC by Japanese flight. Many useful items not described, generally Fine to Very Fine.
