German States: Bavaria, Bishops letters collection, 1839-69, a synod of 19, both handwritten and pre-printed with some expertized, all neatly corner-mounted on homemade Lindner pages; include an extremely rare precancelled 3Kr on cover (sent Eschenbach to Regensburg), a double-rate franking from Regensburg to Augsburg, an unlisted Tolz cancel type, a very scarce (and very pretty) Fridorfing-to-Munich item, an 1865 mind-boggling (and fear-of-God-inducing, if you were the postman) letter from Archbishop Gregor sent Geisenhausen to Munich, etc., etc.; several featuring Thimble cancels, Very Fine to Extremely Fine, one to view, in person or online, striking and uncommon material.

German States: Bavaria, [Cancels], 1834-57, thimble cancels collection, 34 in all on folded letters, each neatly corner-mounted on homemade pages in a slipcased Lindner hingeless binder; arranged by geographical area; note Bayreuth dotted-circle mark, an 1836 Bamburg-to-Hofheim letter with Registered "Chargé" straightline auxiliary, an 1847 letter from the Pensions Service (Rentenamt) of Gerolzhofen (with Neuses cancel), plus a half-circle 1847 Wirtheim letter (scarce marking from the period, as the town was lost to Prussia in the 1866 War); most in black (including one on a turned letter), but note a number of blue, red and even blue green cancels, Very Fine to Extremely Fine, nothing evil this way comes; inspect in full online.

German States: Bavaria, 1849, 3kr Prussian blue/blue, plate I (Scott 2 var.), four used pairs, one a Very Fine vertical pair with large margins all around and partial millwheel cancels; the others horizontal with small flaws, one of them with two clear Kaufbeuern "152" millwheel cancels, the other two with Nüremburg c.d.s.s, Very Fine appearance.
