ca. 1860s, engraving of seated maiden with "FIVE" banner, most likely intended for a banknote; on India mounted on card; pictures a young woman in ornate seat, surrounded by cherubs and the bounties of the fields; sidewheeler and building rising in the background; slightly foxed but still desirable.

ca. 1862, Engraving, "Ceres/Engraved for the Bank of Montreal", striking design on India die-sunk on heavy card; produced by Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson, New York; used at lower right on the Bank of Montreal's 1862 series $1 note; some staining to card well away from vignette, which is completely fresh, very pretty.

1909 (Sept. 29), Hudson-Fulton Centennial all-over cover, sent to Hoboken, NJ, a lovely front-and-back illustrated cover, franked by 2¢ perforated Hudson-Fulton (#372) tied by Hudson Term. Sta. wavy-line postmark four days after issue; cover pristine, Very Fine, a fun and attractive cover.
