 Israel, 1948, Selection of Eight Interim Period Covers, all on homemade pages with extensive annotation; comprises complete Jerusalem Locals second issue (Bale #104-106) with one-day 16.5.1948 Doar Yerushalayim cancel; a block of four 10m Tiberias Emergency Mail (Bale #J) tied by one of two Tiberias "Minhelet Ha'am" postmarks with straightline 2 May 1948 date above; a top margin tête-bêche gutter pair of Nahariya Locals first issue 10m (Bale #108) tied by "By Sea" cancel dated 11 May 1948 with "Emergency Mail by Sea/Nahariya - Haifa" handstamp alongside; 10m Weizmann tied by Holon Mandate postmark; Tel Aviv's "Doar"-overprints in violet or red on two covers; a trio of "Doar"-overprinted Interim or JNF Labels on a cover from Haifa; plus a final unaddressed Haifa cover bearing three JNF Labels overprinted "Doar"; sound and fresh throughout; accompanied by articles (some partial) on this period of postal history, Very Fine, an attractive holding.
