Washington engraving, by Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson, design used with 5¢ 1847 Issue, on India, die sunk on 165 x 237mm card, used for the 5¢ 1847, a great collateral piece, certainly a tremendous addition for any advanced 1847 collection, an incredible engraved vignette, absolutely striking in appearance, the engraving is fresh; some very minor edge toning doesn't detract.

Washington engraving, by Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson, design used with 10¢ 1847 Issue, 165 x 237 card stock with die on India, a truly remarkable collateral piece for an 1847 collection or an advanced USA collection, the die proof is sunk on the card, the vignette was used for the 10¢ 1847, taken from the portrait of Washington by Gilbert Stuart, a simply fabulous engraving, fresh and striking, Extremely Fine.
