Postage Due, 1917, 1¢ carmine rose, red, pre-printing paper fold (Scott J61 var.), bottom margin plate block of 30, massive diagonal preprinting paper fold extending from the top right and ending in a slight tear (across two stamps) at the lower left stamp causing horizontal perforations to be shifted into dramatic diagonal orientation, o.g., mostly never hinged / several hinge remnants along top affecting eight stamps, plus other hinge remnants between rows 7 and 8 to reinforce weak perforations; thin on a couple stamps at lower left, likely caused by preprinting paper fold, Very Good to Fine, a true showpiece that belongs in the best EFO collection.
