1898, 5¢ Trans-Miss. (Scott 288), 2 singles used on an 1898 cover from Ann Arbor, Mich. via New York to Ongole, in the Madras Presidency, India, with 3 backstamps, Very Fine.

No, Kamala Harris' family came from the far south of India, not the Madras Presidency, so no tie-in here. But covers to India are still scarce, unusual and a bit exotic, and this one is quite attractive
