Auctions

Since 1885, the Kelleher firm has been a major source for the discriminating philatelic specialist. Now in our 134th year, we offer not one, but three outstanding public auction and internet sales venues.

Public Auctions:
Daniel F. Kelleher Auctions will hold its next public auction, Sale 753, a "Flagship" sale, on Mar. 2-4, 2021, in our offices in CT and live on SAN. The sale includes over 1500 lots of U.S. and Possessions stamps and postal history, including selections from the William S. Langs stock and other consignors.

And this in turn will be followed by Sale 754, a sale of Aerophilately, Rocket Mail and Astrophilately, on Mar. 16-17, 2021, in our offices in CT and live on SAN. The sale features selections from the collections of Johann Strauss and Leo Malz.

Public Auctions in Hong Kong:
Kelleher & Rogers, Ltd., our affiliate company in Hong Kong, held its most recent auction (sale 31) on July 16, 2020. This was a general sale featuring China, including Local Posts, Empire, Republic, Provinces, Foreign Mail and Occupations, Taiwan, PRC, Hong Kong, also Japan, Laos, Thailand and other Asia countries, with stamps, postal history, and collection lots. Our next K&R sale is scheduled for March 11, 2021 in our offices in Danbury, CT. This will include the fabulous "Legends of the Dragon" Collection, centered around the Chinese Large Dragon issues, plus a general sale of China and Asia.

Internet/Mail Sales:
Michael Rogers Online. Our current MRO sale is No. 5142, a sale of US, British and Worldwide stamps and postal history, including material from the Langs Stock and Private Holdings. This sale closes on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 9 PM.

Our subsequent internet sales are being prepared.

Exhibition Collections:
PDFs of some exhibition collections, still on their original pages, that were featured in prior sales, are also available for viewing. These include:

  • The "Legend of the Dragon" Collection, part of our K&R sale 32 in March 2021. Without a doubt, this fabulous public auction is of such pre-eminent importance that it will clearly set the pace for China philately in 2021. PDF's of this extraordinary collection on the original pages are available in sections as outlined here:

  • LONDON 2020, in London, England. The exhibition was rescheduled to 2022 because of the corona virus, but we had prepared a special catalog of private treaty offerings for the show. Click here to view our fully illustrated and very detailed catalog.
