Canada, 1929-30, King George V "Admiral", 3¢ red, reversed imperforate lithographic essays (Scott 151 var.), two singles in disticntive red shades, o.g., never hinged, Very Fine.

Prepared by a Dr. Eckerlin of the German firm Herbst & Illig, and presented to the American Bank Note Company in New York, to demonstrate the German firm's new process of rotary intaglio printing claimed to be on par with steel engraving, but much cheaper. They appeared on the market about 1951.
