U.S. and Canal Zone, Impressive Collection Remainder, 1893-1963. Neatly presented in a Lighthouse album and small red stockbook; the United States begins with 230, and is fairly sparse until the Washington-Franklins which feature a nice arrangement of coil issues; then the collection is fairly complete from 1930 to 1963 issues including complete 1939 Presidentials and Liberty series; back-of-the-book includes airmail issues including C18; and the cheaper special deliveries; the accompanying red stock book contains an excellent selection of Canal Zone issues, and numerous pages of better U.S. including proofs, Washington Franklins, and Kansas-Nebraska issues; an impressive group with plenty of value, just not expensive enough to be lotted as individual auction lots. Estimate $750 - 1,000.
