Sale 645

Lot 61

U.S., Cinderellas, 1933, "Sabor of the Midland". More than 500 stamps plus 7 souvenir sheets from this little known set; includes all five "issued" colors in blocks, arrow blocks, gutter blocks, centerline blocks and even one complete sheet of 200 mounted on a canvas backing; includes both perforated (o.g.) & imperforate (ungummed) stamps, as well as various colored papers. This is, no doubt, one of the largest surviving collections of this obscure, philatelically inspired issue. We have seen single stamps sell for $2.50 on eBay. See our online description for the full, fascinating story.
Estimate $500 - 750.
