1861, 3¢ pigeon blood pink (Scott 64a), tied by a partial Old Point Comfort, Va. c.d.s. on marvelous Union patriotic cover featuring the U.S. Capitol in red, "The House That Uncle Sam Built", to Canton Mills, Me. (now Canton); bit of light toning on a few perforations, otherwise Fine to Very Fine, with a 2003 P.F. certificate noting the "toned perforations". Bischel 1146. Walcott L-643. Scott $7,500.
