1861, 12¢ black (Scott 69), horizontal pair, tied by one of two light grid cancels on a pretty 1867 Rhode Island Secretary of State's illustrated corner card cover from Providence, R.I. to London, England with five different red markings: an Apr 2 Providence c.d.s., "Paid" in a circle (Providence), a "N. York. Br. Pkt./Paid 19/Apr 3" Exchange Office c.d.s., an unframed "24" and a partial Apr 13 London receiver; top flap missing but a gorgeous cover, Very Fine. Estimate $250 - 350.
